Summer of Success

So in my head I thought this blogging thing was going to be a lot of work, but totally manageable. Yikes. Feeling overwhelmed with how much work some of my *favorites* have put into their blogs over the years. I'm hoping I stick with it! :)

On that note, this all got started based off of THE summer of success. My coworkers and I decided that things needed to happen this summer. I don't know about anyone else, but I seem to hide lose my to do list so I can enjoy the warm weather! 2013 is the year I multi-task. Summer + Success = Summer of Success.

That being said-- I have completed my first major project of the summer. A binder full of reading response sheets and graphic organizers to use during our literacy block. With so many awesome resources available online, I needed an organized way to store them all so that I can actually find and use them throughout the year. So, a turquoise binder it is!

I created what seemed like a million tabs to organize all of the response sheets. This way when I am explicitly teaching main idea and details, I can find the resources all in one place.

Timesaver? I think yes. I.heart.organization. 

I caved...

Welp.. here we go! It's 2013 and everyone else has a blog- guess I should too! I've toyed with the idea of starting a blog and becoming a seller on TpT after being inspired by so many others on the web and there is no time like the present! Now that school is out for the summer, I'm feeling a need to do something productive.... and THAT, my friends, is how First Grade MVP's was born.
